The Frederick Post Tuesday Morning December 12, 1939 pg. 5 MRS. JAMES A. KISER Mrs. Annie L. Kiser, wife of James A. Kiser, died at her home near Keysville Saturday morning at 5 o'clock. She was aged 75 years. Mrs. Kiser had been in failing health for the last year and critically ill for one week. She was the daughter or the late Ephraim and Mary Bentzel. She was a member of the Keysville Lutheran church, of the Christain Endeavor Society and the Sunday school. Surviving are her husband, nine children, Mrs. Carl B. Haines, Taneytown; Roy B. and E. Gregg Kiser, Keysville; C. Roscoe, Thurmont, Edgar R., Detour; Glenn R., Keysville; Carol L. Kiser, Thurmont, and Mrs. Carroll F. Daugherty, Keysville; three grandchildren, a brother William Bentzel, Motter's Station, and a sister, Mrs. Emma J. Engleman, Overlea. Funeral Monday with services at the home at 1:30 o'clock and further services in the Keysville Lutheran church. Rev. P.H. Williams, pastor, and Rev. W.O. Ibach, officiated. Interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were W.E. Ritter, M.J. Wilhide, C.R. Cluts, Frank Houck, William J. Stonesifer and Calvin W. Hahn. The Frederick Post Saturday Morning January 4, 1941 pg. 5 WILLIAM EDWARD BENTZEL William Edward Bentzel, retired carpenter died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Calvin Trexell, Rocky Ridge Friday morning at 12:30 o'clock. Aged 71 years, he had been in failing health for a number of years and had been critically ill since Sunday following a paralytic stroke. The son of Ephraim and Mary C. Boose Bentzel, he was born in Kingsdale, Pa. but had resided most of his life in Sabillasville. For the past three years he had made his home with his daughter. His wife Mrs. Annie R. Naylor Bentzel, died in 1908. Surviving are two sons, Harold and Ivan Bentzal, Sabillasville, Mrs. Earl Roop, Taneytown and Mrs. Trexell, and ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Emma Engleman, Baltimore. He was a member of the Reformed church at Sabillasville and Pea Mar Council No. 25 J: OUAM The body will be at the late home at Rocky Ridge where friends may call this evening. The funeral will be held there Sunday afternoon at two o'clock with further services at the Reformed church in Sabillasville. Rev. E.D. (LAST NAME UNREADABLE, might be Bright) officiating. Burial in cemetery adjoining the church. The Frederick Post Monday Morning May 2, 1927 pg. 5 MRS. C. ROSCOE KISER The death of Mrs. Issabelle M. Kiser, wife of C. Roscoe Kieser, near Keysville, occurred Thursday night at 8 o'clock in the Frederick City Hospital. She was aged 21 years, one month and one day. She is the daughter of Edward and Carrie McGlaughlin, near Emmitsburg. Besides her parents and husband she leaves a new born daughter, Anna May, two brothers, Howard McGlaughlin, Motter's Station and John McGlaughlin, at home and two sisters, Mrs. Norville Eckert, near Taneytown, and Miss Margaret McGlaughlin, at home; also her grandfather, John McGlaughlin, near Emmitsburg. The body was removed from the hospital by Funeral Directors C.O.Fuss & Son, Taneytown, to the home of her father-in-law, James Kiser, near Keysville, from where the funeral will be held, meeting at the house at 9:30 a.m. today, with further services in the Keysville Lutheran church, the pastor of which, Rev. P.H. Williams, assisted by Rev. W.V. Garrett, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Taneytown, will officiate. Burial will be in the Keysville cemetery.
