Well A-OK Diane, You have the cemetery where he was buried. Any other family members there? The cemetery should also have the name of the funeral director. If the L.A. library finds nothing, the funeral director may have a copy of the obit in his files, or at least a rough draft of the obit if one exists. And if all this fails, the cemetery or director may have a living contact. They would not release this information to you but may, if you ask, contact that individual for you and advise them that someone wishes to communicate with them. I have used this strategy before. Genealogists have no scruples Diane. We will do anything to achieve our connections to our ancestors & their kin. And you have a safe & rewarding day. Dick
