Maupin, 74, teacher and musician, will be conducted Wednesday at 3. p.m. by Forest Lawn Mortuary in the Wee Kirk o' the Heather. A chemistry teacher in Los Angeles high schools for 36 years, he also was a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra for many years and played the French horn. He resided at 17212 Brighton Way, Gardena, and died Thursday in Claremont hospital, leaving a son, Roy, Pomona, a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Neustedt, Gardena, and a brother, Jack, Long Beach. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Los Angeles Times April 16, 1958 Sara K. Maupin 74 years old, resident 1894 Grier Street, Pomona. Passed away April 13, Palm Springs. Former resident of Los Angeles for 25 years. Survived by husband, Roy W., and 1 son. Roy E., of Pomona; 1 daughter, Ruth Neustedt of Los Angeles and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday 12:30 p.m., Wee Kirk o' the Heather, Forest Lawn, Glendale. Dr. Roy Lash, Wiefels & Sons, Palm Springs, directors. (Ruth Neustedt could be spelled Neustadt). Roy E.
