Kathryn Nida Overby
Kathryn Nida Overby, Blackwell resident, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center. She was 44.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. John J. Michalicka, pastor, St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. A rosary service will be held at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 21 at 7 p.m.
Kathryn was born on Jan. 18, 1959, in Bartlesville to William David and Nida Mae Mogus Cantillon. She attended schools for a short time in Silver Lake, Kan., and Bartlesville before attending schools in Ponca City. Most of her adult life was spent in Kansas City, Kan. She moved to Blackwell in 2001 where she worked as an assembly line worker for a light manufacturing firm. She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs and OU Sooner football.
She is survived by her mother, Nida Austin of Ponca City; her father, Bill Cantillon and his wife Judy of Rossville, Kan.; one daughter, Kristy Alexander of South Lake Tahoe, Nev.; one son Jimmy Overby of Kansas City; two brothers, Rich Cantillon and his wife Pam of Blackwell and Mike Cantillon and his wife Kim of St. Mary's, Kan.; one sister, Candy Karpe and her husband Kevin of Ponca City; maternal grandparents, Beth and Andy Mogus of Bartlesville; three grandsons, Tucker, Reid, and Brandon Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert L. Austin, and her grandparents, Dick and Ann Cantillon.
