Newspaper Obits online (1700s-1900s)
Hi,
I've started a website to share my collection of old newspapers, including news from all over the U. S., England, Ireland, Scotland and Australia. I'll eventually even have some from Cuba dated in the 1840's!
These are scanned from original issues of 18th- through early 20th-century newspapers. I've indexed each individual name as I have posted each story, and there's a search engine on the site, too.
I have many, many more articles to scan and add, from literally hundreds of pounds of old newspapers. I'll be adding to this for a long, long, time!
You'll find the death notices & obituaries here:

The home page is here:

The site index (such as it is) is here:

Some of the various other sections (in additional to specific state index pages) include

etc., etc., etc.! Even old recipes!
I hope you'll find it to be helpful, though I hope you'll be patient with me since I'm trying to teach myself how to do this as I go along, in addition to home-schooling my kids. I will probably never see the top of my dining table again!
Best of luck to all,
Barbara
