An old family Bible tells me that my gr-gr-great aunt, Nancy Kenney married John Oberlin on January 4, 1835. Nancy was born November 30, 1811 in VA; her family lived in KY during the 1820's; but I'm not sure where this marriage took place. I find Nancy living in 1850 with her sister Jane and husband Philip Murphy in Monroe County, IN. No mention of John in that census--so I presume he may be dead. Cannot find burial place for Nancy Kenney Oberlin or John Oberlin. Nancy died March 18, 1860. I've hit a brick wall on the Oberlins!
