Latest info I have says that my grgrgrandfather, Christoph Adam Oberlin was born in Liedolsheim, Baden in 1791. Family legend says his grandfather was the well known pastor, Johann Friedrich (Jean Fredric in Fr) of Alsace, for whom Oberlin College was named. Can anyone tell me of a connection or at least the father of Christopher Adam Oberlin. He came to Pittsburgh,PA with wife Katherine Kubach and sons before 1836.
