Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

First of all the "A. I. O'Bannon" was really Alcanon J. O'Bannon, MD, born to William Barbee and Susannah (Thompson) O'Bannon, abt. 1811 in Garrard Co, KY, died Jun 1879 in Fleming Co, KY. (The letters "I" and "J" were often curlicued in such a way they could be confused by today's readers).
Alcanon had three wives: Charity Runyon, Eliza M. Early, and Mary E. Watts. Charity died in Fleming County, KY in 1849 but is buried in Mays Lick Cemetery, Mason Co, KY. The latter two also died in Fleming Co, KY, and, as indicated, are in Poplar Run Graveyard near Elizaville, KY.
It is possible Alcanon is also buried in Poplar Run. For Alcanon and Charity I have 4 children: Andrew (1841-1910), Lucy, Woodson and Amelia, but as yet I have no descendents beyond these. I need to research further and report back later. Feel free to contact me at pobanno@rcn.com.
