Maybe this is related to your quest. My ancestor was Joseph Oatman. There were also a Peter and George Oatman (Otman, also spelled Utman) who served 1780, 1781 militia in Lancaster, PA. Joseph Oatman moved to VA, KY, and later IN. My mom and I have been trying to locate the parents of Joseph Oatman. Is he connected in your Harold Oatman line which you traced back to Holland? If so, I'd be glad to share information.
