I have a copy of the book 'Roots, Seeds and Other Things' by John Martin Oates, Jr. printed 1989. The surnames on the cover include Oates, Cogdell, Barfield and Martin. There is no index to the book, only a Table of Contents.
I bought this book at a used book store and will sell to anyone interested. (My husband has a Barfield line, but the Barfields in this book are not directly connected to his). $20 (in money order only) will cover the cost of the book and mailing. The book is hardback and in excellent/new condition.

I would like to see it passed on to someone who has direct connections to the Oates family that is the subject of this text, as it contains valuable information and resource points and several ancestral pictures. Since there is no index, I am sorry, but I CANNOT LOOK ANYTHING UP FOR ANYONE. Sorry, but it would be too time consuming.
