According to information I found out about from Old Albemarle County Perquimans Precinct North Carolina Court Minutes, Elizabeth whom James married 11 Sept 1694 by Dep. Gov. Thomas Harve Esq. was not a Perry, but a Lilly. When John Lilly Sr. died in 1688, she was given guardianship of two of his minor children Sarah, and John. The Heirs of the Estate of John Lilly Sr. also sued her to release their inheritance to them. Richard French who died in 1716 named Elizabeth his Executrix in his will. The John who married Frances Reid, was not from our line. Our John was born in 1722. He married Elizabeth Blount in 1742. He also died in Perquimans County in 1789 not 84.
