My father was Freddie D Oates Sr born in Oklahoma
My grandfather was Samuel K Oates born in Alabama
Great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Oates who moved his family to Oklahoma in the about 1910???
He was married to Fannie Oates
My great-great grandfather was perhaps a brother to William C and John A. ???
Both Benjamin and Fanny died aprox 1919 and left my grandfather and his siblings orphaned. Thus I have very little evidence of geneology or history.
I remember my grandfather speaking of an uncle Sam and possibly an uncle Wyatt and aunt Etta (Etter???)
My grandfather's birth certificate indicates that he was born in Oates Hill, Alabama. Does anyone know anything about this?
