MARGARET LENORA JANE ROHM
Margaret Lenora (Nora) Jane Rohm was born March 29, 1881. She was the daughter of Cornelia Josephine Rohm in Gaston County. She was not listed in the household of John James and Cornelia Oates in the 1900 Census of Gaston County.
Nora married first Robert Dock Lanier who died the 16th of July, 1946 at the age of 80 at Broughton State Hospital in Morganton. She married a second time to Barion D. Rohm who was born the 21st of April 1887 and died June 15, 1956. Children of Nora were FANNIE B. LANIER GOFORTH; TOMMY LANIER, who died as a child of a snakebite; WALTER BLANCH LANIER; DELLA M. LANIER WHITESIDES; JESSE CORNELIUS LANIER; GAINER DOCK LANIER; CHARLES THEODORE LANIER, the father of Carolyn Lanier Baker; FAIRY B. ROHM; and MAYBELL ROHM SMITH. FRED E. ROHM was an adopted child. Fannie's children are Harvey, Vera, Martha, James, John Henry, and Ruby. Walter's children are Pearl Azrell, James E., Robert Franklin, and Peggy Ann. Della's children are Horace, Mary Lou, Ralph, Ruth, Ray, Harold, Carl, Myrtle, and twins, Bobby and Betty. Jesse's children are Lolly, Faye, Roy Waitzel (Bud), William, Allan, and Barbara. Charles' children Harry Eugene, Patricia Ann, Nancy Carolyn, Reginald Wayne, and Stanley Alton. Fred's children are Deborah and Jeffrey.
Cornelia Josephine Rohm married John James Oates and they were my grandparents. Aunt Nora was born before Cornelia and John were married.
