Looking for information on the parents and grandparents of my great grandmother Fannie.
She was born 14 Mar 1898 in York County, South Carolina and died 17 Sep 1979 in Grover,
Cleveland County, North Carolina. She married Henry Grady Gorth born 21 Jan 1894 in
Cleveland County, NC and died Feb 1986 there. Henry was the son of John Kelly Goforth
and Catherine Jane Hayes. Fannie's parents were Robert Dock Lanier , he always went by
the name "Dock" my grandmother didn't even know his name was Robert, born 22 Jan 1867 in York
County, SC and died 16 Jul 1946 in Morganton, Burke County, NC in the Western North
Carolina Mental Hospital which is now called Broughton State Hospital. Her mother was
Lenora Jane Oates born in South Carolina I believe York County. I don't have any information
on her at all. That's all the information I have. I would appreciate any information I can get
on Robert and Lenora. Thanks.
