I am interested in an Oates family who originally came to Blayney/Bathurst area of NSW, Australia about 1833-5 from Cornwall. I don't know the original man's name but he had a Richard, whose son had Francis Martin who had Muriel Frances Oates born in Blayney. Muriel married John BROWN and their daughter Dorothy married Malcolm SPEERS and lived on farm named "Bonnie Doon" in Neville [via Blayney]. I am particularly interested in finding a possible "Miss" Oates, born about 1941 "in the country" who had Sally-Ann Oates in Sydney on 6th March, 1970.
