Hi Herb;
There is documentation of Asa's marriage to Ruby Bangs in the manuscript, "History & Genealogy of The Bangs Family in America" by Dean Dudley. Originally published in 1896.
I have not searched the vital records of Stamford, VT, yet; they lived in Stamford until their deaths. They are buried there in the Houghton Cemetery. I visited their graves for the first time two years ago.
Asa & Ruby were married on December 15, 1830. They had 3 children, Hubbard Daniel, my great great grandfather, Sophronia, & Lucy. Also in the Readsboro, VT vital records, their names are listed on Hubbard's death certificate.
