I'm looking for information on the parents of Ada E Oakley. She was born between 1862 and 1870. She was married to Joe W Oakley who was born in 1862 in Granville, North Carolina. According to Ada's death certificate and the death announcement was was born in Craven County, North Carolina. She is listed as 88 years old at the time of her death so that would make her birth year 1862. Some census reports show her born in 1867, some show 1870, but, I'm going by the death certificate. The death certificate also shows her parents as Kinsey Oakley and Polly Ann Oakley. However, some census reports shows her parents as Tinsley Oakley and Susan Suit and others show a Ridley Oakley and Emily Oakley. I'm confused. Any info anyone can provide me with would be extremely helpful. These are my husband's great grandparents. Some of their children were: Lula Oakley, Nina Oakley and Jimmie Oakley among others.
