Nancy Oakley is the sister of my gg-grandfather, James Monroe Oakley.
I do not have any solid proof, yet. However, on the 1870 census records Perry County, 8th Civil District, Page 16 TN, I found the following:

There is a William Oakley that married Nancy Ellen Patton (Laura Griffith's research)who had the following children--William, John, Robert and James.
I've been looking for some proof on this census record that will tie in Nancy French, James Oakley & William Oakley as brothers & sister.
