Hello! I am afraid I don't have an Isaac Oakes which is not to say there isn't one, lol. Until you start unraveling a family tree you just have no idea how many branches and twigs there are. Here are some names and dates compacted in hopes one or more may ring a bell. If you see any that sound familiar let me know and I will see what further information I have for that entry.

My great grandfather
Daniel Webster Oakes - Feb 26, 1874/Oct. 4, 1948
married Mary Abigail Freeney 1880/1916
their children = Ila Josephine Oakes (my grandmother), Thomas Clay Oakes, Mary Margaret Oakes, Patsy Oakes, Joe Bailey Oakes.

Mary Abigail passed away and Daniel remarried Minnie Columbia Ketchum 1885/1979

Sue K. Oakes - 1882/1971 married Howard Morris
children = Harry, Howard, Reese(foster daughter)

Rosa Oakes - 1889/1983 married ?Huff

Robert L. Oakes - 1871/1874 (3 yrs old)

Harriet A. Oakes - 1873/1877 (4 yrs old)

Mary Josephine Oakes - 1876/1895 (19 yrs old)

Lula Oakes - 1886/1887 (15 months)

William L. Oakes - 1884/1887 (3 yrs old)

Daniel Webster Oakes parents & my great great grandparents

Charles D. Oakes 1841/1925
George Washington Oakes 1851/1941
Joel Everidge Oakes 1859/1937
Samuel Lorenzo Oakes 1853/1926
Sarah Evelynn Oakes 1861/1947
Mary Hester Oakes 1864/1931
Elizabeth Oakes 1845/1913
Lemuel Washington Oakes 1857/1940

The Choctaw line joined the tree with Harriet Newell Everidge by ~
her parents ~ Thomas Willie Everidge 1788/1856
& Eva Illiapotubbee Brashear 1789/1870
Eva's parents ~
Robert Turner Brashear 1771/1831
& Hotioka TJ (Jane) Apukshunnubbee 1754/1822
Hotioka's parents ~
Chief Tobaca Apukshunnubbee 1740/1824
& A bu to na 1740/1778

If your g grandfather died in 1906, that would probably put him in the same generation as Thomas Wilson & Harriet, and I have yet to go back farther on his side but am working on it as I work on so many other parts to this great puzzle. I can tell you from papers we have that Harriet was only 8 yrs old and her brother Joel 4 when they walked the Trail of Tears from Mississippi to Oklahoma in 1832. They settled in Choctaw Indian Territory in Oklahoma and lived in as well as established small towns there. All of the addresses on envelopes dating back that far are in Oklahoma and that is where Thomas and Harriet met, married, lived and died.

I am sorry I cannot help you more at the moment, but if I can at a later date I will surely let you know.
Good luck!
Delilah Jenkins
