P.S.
My grandfather was a modest man.It would have been uncharacteristic of him to write a postscript about himself. He almost didn't write the book for the same reason. He began writing the book when he was about 90 years old while taking care of his bed-ridden wife.I think it was a diversion since he was no longer able to leave home for more than a few hours.
The entire book was written on an old manual typewriter, the same one he used as long as I can remember. The final manuscript was a family project. My mother retyped every chapter into a word processor, one grandchild prepared the photographs, including the cover, two other grandchildren helped in important ways, and Seegar's son, Seegar Jr., arranged for the publication and distribution.
