Dear Kim, My greatgrandfater Carl Oscar Erickson (b:September 4, 1848) and his brother Sven August Erickson (b:September 7, 1846)migrated to Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota in October of 1872. They were both born in Pelarne, Kalmar County, Sweden. Unfortunetly that is all I know. My grandfather, on the 1880 census, has a nephew named Gustave Nygren, living with him. I'm wondering if my grandfather and Carolina Fredricka Ericsdotter could possibly be brother and sister. I have seen my grandfather's name spelled several ways. Oskar Ericson and Carl Oscar Eriksson. Do you know more about Carolina's family in Sweden? Could they possibly be related? I hope there is a connection, I would love to find some of my greatgrandfathers family. Thank you.
