Reuben appears to have remained in Yates County. He was in Milo with wife Martha through at least 1855. By 1860, he was living in Potter with Josephus Barrett. He was 79 years old and blind. The 1865 mortality schedule states that he died 11 Oct 1864.
I have found several census listings, a few vital records, and cemetery records for this family if you need them.
