Diane,

I checked the census for Wyoming Co. & see that one of Andrew`s brothers, James, b. abt. 1839, was living in the town of Arcade in 1880, 1900 & 1910. He & his family were living with Bridget in 1880. James does not appear in the 1920 census so he probably died in Arcade sometime after the 1910 census was taken. If you can get his death record it might give you Bridget`s maiden name. If he did die in Arcade the town clerk would have the certificate. You can request a search but there will be a fee.

This page of the Wyoming Co. USgenweb has a lot of info for Wyoming co., including town clerks addresses. It`s possible that the clerk could have Bridget`s record even though death registration didn`t begin in NY until 1881. Won`t hurt to ask. The page also has info. on town historians, etc. You may find further info. on the Wales by contacting the Arcade historian & the county historian.
