I am currently working on a book of Wyoming County, NY Revolutionary War Soldiers. Does anyone know of Frederick Clute of Perry, NY. He is listed in the 1840 Census of Town of Perry with 2 males 10-15 yrs; 1 male 70-80y, 1 female 20-30y and 1 female 60-70y. This Frederick Clute applied for a military pension but was denied as not 6 months service. His claim was taken to the US House of Representatives as Frederick Clute of Perry, NY on April 25, 1836. I believe he may have been somehow related to Douw Clute who settled in the Town of Castile. Does anyone know of this Frederick? Please email me at anitahayes1@juno.com. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Anita Ripstein-Hayes
