My great great grandfather, Benjamin Allen Hopkins, built a rustic "hotel" of sorts at Sodus Point, near "the flats" and just south of First Creek in the late 1800's. It consisted of several structures, and some were built in trees, like tree houses. They were bedrooms for guests. He and his son Byron would go to the train depot in a wagon and pick up customers coming to stay from Rochester.
I have many photos of the place taken in the 1920's, but know very little about the place or exactly where it was on a map of today. I have a 1901 map showing it, but want more information about it.
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it very much.
Deborah L. Hopkins
