Hi, Natalie and Steve! This is an interesting thread. Natalie, do you know where Emery wound up? I have an Emery who moved to Corvallis, Oregon and had children Alonzo, Ira, Henry, Anna and John. NOT proven yet to be Henry's son, but the names should do match up!

I also have Alonzo H who wound up in Charlotte, Eaton Co, Michigan. His parents are confirmed H S Allen and Anna Hill through the record of his second marriage.

I have Henry S having a son and daughter prior to 1830, so there would have been two older children. It looks as though the male did not survive to the 1840 Census, but the female did.

There is also a William H Allen who is on the Census with them in 1860 and is still there in 1880. He was born ca 1856. An 8-year gap between Emma and William.

Don't have anything for parentage of Henry S or Anna. Will try to do some looking this week.
