Judy, I found the following on page 170 , McIntosh's History of Wayne County. Regarding the Presbyterian Church - it appears there was more than one.I think this refers to the one at Sodus. "--- "The pulpit was then vacant for nearly two years, and some of the time no attempt at holding service was made, the house being closed. Rev. James Ireland was finally engaged, and commenced preaching March 1, 1863. His term of service was the longest of any in the history of the church, lasting ten years, or to the 1st of March, 1873. The pulpit was then vacant for just a year, though services were regularly continued." I didn't find Daniel and his wife. There is an index on the internet for this book.
