I am seeking information (I already have census records) of any Hacketts or Hills in Wayne County in the early 1800's. In particular, I am interested in anything related to a Welcome Hill or a Gideon Hackett who lived there. Welcome Hill married a Susan Hayward in about 1830. They lived in Macedon and I wondered if the town or county has records back that far. Welcome may have had a son also named Welcome. Welcome and Susan (Hayward) Hill had four children there in Macedon: Nelson, b 1831; Caroline, b 1832; Alonzo, b 1834; and Frances Ellen, b 1844. Sometime around 1860, Nelson married a Mary A. Young and they had three children there in Macedon before leaving for Michigan: Charles, b 1863; Albert, b 1865; and Caroline, b 1868. Frances Ellen Hill married in Wayne County in the 1860's to a man named Leander Birdsall and they had a child Ida Birdsall there in 1868 and another, Emma or Julia, in 1869. I am interested in ANY or all information related to these people. Gideon Hackett was probably the uncle of Susan Hayward, so I am especially interested in any information that puts these two families in close connection.
Thank you!!!
