Sorry, but I just saw your post. I, too, descend from the Hile family of Tompkins County. I show your Thomas is son of Leonard Hile(b. NJ 1801, d.Dryden, 1856) and Nancy McKee (b.Ireland 1803, d. Dryden 1873). Leonard is son of Nicholas (1768-1846) and Chloe Knecht (1766-1849). Leonard & Nancy were married in Dryden in 1825. I show Thomas b. about 1829, Sarah b. about 1827. Don't know her maiden name. Lisajean Morris-Yavner's post added quite a bit to what I had already.

Your Thomas' sister, Lovina Jane, who m. Wyatt Allen Forsyth is my Gr-grmother.
