As a followup, I found a Levi King in 1840 living in Enfield and the same one in 1850 living in Ithaca with wife, Amanda, and children as well as a sister or niece, Vienna. When I researched Vienna, I found her living in 1860 back at her parents -- Johnathan and Lufanny King of Ulysses -- with a number of siblings: Angeline (1829); Gennett (1836), Harrison (1838); Hutchinson (1841), Habbell (1842) Olive (1833), Freeman (1827) and Elmira (1847). In a response to another query, I found that Johnathan may be the brother of John King. The two lived next door to each other for years. In one census, I found that John and Johnathan listed their birthplace as Mass. Because my Levi was born about 1819, I'm wondering if he is another brother to John or Johnathan. If he was a son to Johnathan, his mother, Lufanny (b. 1806) would have been very young at his birth. It would appear that my Levi King might have left his first wife and children in 1850s and moved to Ontario, Canada, where he remarried and had another family. Among his children are a John King and a Sylvester King (John King of Ulysses also had a son named Sylvester). Not much is known about Levi in the family and this may be why.
