I am looking for information on the family of William Bruce who lived in Tompkins Co. NY. William Bruce (age 26 to 45) is on the 1820 Hector, Tompkins Co. NY census and then on the 1830 Enfield, Tompkins Co. NY census. (The town of Hector had been part of Cayuga Co. until 1817 when Tompkins Co. was created.) On the 1850 census for Enfield there is a William Bruce age 75, with wife Catherine age 60. Any information on William and his wife and children would be greatly appreciated.
