I am looking for information about Stephen Frederick Beers (1824-1864) born in New York and died in Danville Prison after being transferred there from Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. He was married to Nancy Mason Decker. Their children were Minerva, Melinda, Curtis Benjamin,Uriah, George and Rowena all born in Michigan. I believe that he may be the son of Levi Beers II of Danby (Beers Settlement), NY. I would like to hear from anyone who might have information about any of the Beers of Danby. His family may have been a part of the New Jerusalem church there which was part of Swedenborg's group. If you might have had family in that church, I also would like hear from you as well.
