Hello Carol,
Guess who has not been checking thier email!
Thank you for the reply. We are certainly on the same page following these illusive Dabrons. Hope you have a comfy seat! I have quite a large tree on them now with a lot of unplaced individuals and children yet to go which extends from England to USA and Australia. Would love some help if you have time on your hands??

Arthur Dabron or Daborn as he signed his name married Catherine Chambers 15 Jun 1761 Twickenham, Middlesex England - 9 children including Arthur and Elizabeth -usa.
Others were Rhoda, Thomas x 2, Robert, Alice, John and William. These children are all confirmed on IGI.

It appears he settled some sons in Norton, England and then took of for USA - why is the question??
At this time I do not know if the wife of Arthur Snr went to USA and I am assuming that the wife of Arthur Jnr went as I cannot find deaths in England to date for either wife.

As to where Arthur Snr is from, that is the question? There are a few leads but for now we are concentrating on getting the decendants sorted and that is not easy.

Some records or reports seem to suggest that Arthur Snr did not immigrate until around 1803 but other records seem to suggest that some of them may have been in USA before this. Whatever, they were certainly there by 1805 for marriage of Elizabeth.

According to a record on -
Passenger List
Date: Saturday, December 10, 1803
Location: New York, New York
Paper: Daily Advertiser
Article type: Passenger List
it notes Arthur Dabron but as I have not subscribed to this site, I have no further information

Arthurs will names the sons he left in England in the places we roughly find them in 1841. So far I have been unable to locate any deaths or marriages for these early years in USA except a marriage for Elizabeth. Where were they and where were they buried?? and when did they die?

The problem may occur in the spelling of the surname as even in England there were quite a few variations. I have gone through Ancestry records and corrected many of the transcription errors but I am sure there are more that I have not located.

Arthur Snr's will also names daughter Elizabeth 13 Jan 1780 (wife of James Abrams) - married 09 Nov 1805 usa - I am still searching for them??

Arthur Jnr - son we know stayed in USA with his family.

Only child I am missing of original family is youngest William 20 Apr 1783. Not mentioned in will and may have immigrated and died by 1821 or died in England etc but a later record suggests he married ? and had children in USA although this may have been incorrect as noted on a later death notice for Louisa Potts nee Dabron.

Note that the William you refer to in your post was born
06 Apr 1795 first son and child of Arthur Jnr and Margaret.

and they had at least 3 known children
William, Elizabeth and Jane all born in Norton England by 1800 and located in USA - there may have been more children born in USA - a further 3 - Cornelia, Louise and Arthur are located later in USA but I have not confired thier parentage at this time.

There are a couple of hickups here as I have located a Census record for John Dabron early 1800's New York and I cannot place him at this time - children and wife unknown??

Any assistance with these lines would be greatly appreciated and please feel free to email me.

cheers for now
