Thomas,
I note that in one of your other messages about David Heater that you`d found him on the 1850 census at age 17 in Pike Co., PA. He is with Joseph Heater, age 30. Joseph appears too young to be David`s father. However, on the 1860 census in Westfall, Pike Co., this Joseph Heater`s age is given as 50 & his wife, Catherine is 46. In 1870, Joseph is age 60 & Catherine is 56; they are indexed as HEATIE on this census. They were most likely David`s parents.
I`m not related.
Pat R.
