In my copy of the 1855 Ulster County, NY census which has some Sullivan county towns, I find a Michael Kilroy in Neversink, Sullivan Co., NY
here is the entry:
Kilroy, Michal 40 b. Irel, Mary 40 do, Thos 14 do, Cath 12 do, Salley 10 do, Mariah 5 b. Sull, Margt 2 b. Sull
No other Kilroy families living in Sullivan County listed in the 1855 census. The only towns in Sullivan County it has data for is: Bethel, Callicoon, Cochecton, Fallsburgh, Forestburgh, Lumberland, Mamakating, Neversink and Rockand - no Liberty.
The 1855 Ulster County Census I got from: Ulster County Genealogical Society, P. O. Box 536, Hurley, NY 12443
Also looking at the 1860 Census I see a Michael Kilroy living in Liberty, Sullivan Co., NY with the data of:
Michael Kilroy - 42 - m
Mary - 42 - f
John - 19 - m
Maria - 10 - f
Margaret - 7 - f
Michael - 5 - m
William - 1 - m
Patrick Radian - 17 - m
my 1855 and 1860 data does not seem to match.
