Thank you for your reply. I failed to add to my message that the eldest son of the man I am looking for was on the census; the fellow you cited. I went all through the Town of Thompson 1870 Census and failed to find the family. I believe that they were simply missed, but one can always hope. This would not be the first family members missed by a census taker, in my research.
