I am looking for the birth and Parents of my Grandmother in order to get a Death record on her.. She was born around 1869-1875 in Callicoon Ny.. Sullivan Co. Of German descent Parents..Her name was SARAH ROSE (ROSE< MAIDEN NAME) She married a JAMES YORK SMITH somewhere in Ny or NJ probably C/A 1889-1890. I have no idea what her parents names where but she told my mother that she had a Constable in her family, this of course is hearsay.. I never knew her or my Dads side of the Family because of a bitter divorce between him and my mother..Sarah could speak German well, the only mention of her was her name by my mother and very little info, Could she had went to school or church in Callicoon, and if so where?? She died in the early 1930's in NY City I havent the sligtest idea just when or where she is buried just that it has to be somewhere in NYC. or Jersey Ive written all the Cemetaries I could find but they need more info...She did live common law with a Herbert Law, he had her buried. If any of you come across her would you kindly let me know.. I would be so grateful as I am a shutin and need the help. Thankyou so much, Marian (SMITH) Walker maws@sisna.com
