States: New York: Sullivan
I have copies of the F.W.Beers maps of Sullivan County from 1875. They are not really that old, but they are quite accurate and have the townships and villages overlaid with the boundaries of the old Hardenburgh Patent. For example, my GGGgrandfather bought land in 1849 located " in the west part of Subdivision Lot 35 in Division Lot 16 in Great Lot 2 of the Hardenburgh Patent". This subdivision can be located as a small square on the Township Map for Callicoon 1875, which can then be translated to a current highway map of Sullivan County. My source for reprint copies of the maps was Sullivan County Historical Society P.O Box 247, Hurleyville, NY 12747 Tel: (845)434-8044 website firstname.lastname@example.org They are a volunteer organization with limited staffing and hours. Maps are printed by Township within the county so they will need to know the area you are interested in. Hope this will help you.
