In the 1855 Ulster County Census for New York, it lists the following members of the Avery family living in Thompson, Sullivan County, NY [note: all born in Sullivan Co unless otherwise noted]:

Avery, Isaac R 54 b. Westch, Ann 54 do, WmL 26, James 23, Hellen 19, Harriet A 18, Isaac N 14

Avery, Nehemiah 43, Julia 33, Chas 10, Francis 8, Wm 6

Avery, Philander 30, Cath. 34, F.A./2fem Winfield 1 G.H. 21

Avery, Amos 66, b. Westch
