In the Town of Tusten, it mentions that according to a statement by
Jeremiah Lillie, son of Jermiah Lillie, senior, that Mr. Homans was the
original settler on the New York bank of the river. Further says that
Jeremiah Lillie, senior, settled at the foot of Hog Island and came here
previous to 1800.
