Hi John
YES! It certainly sounds like our Joseph and fits his pension application information. Thank you so much for taking the time to find him! This piece seems to give us his mother's name of Elizabeth and possible siblings of James and Calvin. I'm not sure of the relationship of Mary, she may be a sibling or a wife to either James and Calvin.

We are hoping to go up to the area before winter sets in and see what we can find at some of the local cemeteries. Possibly Elizabeth will be found buried with her husband and thus giving us Joseph's father's name.

Thank you again for the giant leap backwards to yet another generation. We are getting closer hopefully to linking up with the emigrant Babcock!
