Norton family in Calicoon and Fremont
Posted by: Bob Norton Date: December 09, 1999 at 14:20:39
  of 960

Chester and Fannie Cranston Norton came to Sullivan Co. in the early 1840's from Roxbury, Delaware Co. Any information about them or their offspring, particularly Edward J. Norton and his wife Mary Elizabeth Secord would be more than welcome. Fannie and Chester died in Fremont in the 1870's but I don't know where they're buried. They first show up in Calicoon on the 1850 census but are listed in Fremont by 1860.
