I am searching for inf. on Josephine Sleight Smith and Jonas Smith. Charles Mills Sleight . They both lived in Stony Brook area. I have pictures of Josephine, would love to find pictures of her family. Also have a picture of Charles Mills Sleight. Charles and Josephine were brother and sister. Would also like any inf on rest of their family. Some of these Sleights were born in Shallotte NC, and migrated into long island. I know that Charles Sleight had several daughters, Bertha, Mable, and Jesse and possibly one more. My great grandmother was from NC, her name was Henrietta Elizabeth (Blount) Davenport, she often visited these people in Stony Brook , along with her son Carlton Davenport and wife Marie. Charles Mills Sleight was her uncle.
Also searching for Hal and Daisy Shipman who came to my great grandmothers home in NC to visit. I have some more inf to share, and hope that someone knows of these families. Thanks
