Please, someone help if you can:
I am researching the families of the WWI Soldiers who are buried in Flanders Field, Belgium for a book that is being compiled there to Honor these Fallen Heroes.
A soldier from Islip, Suffolk Co. named Mathias Mandak, who was born Marach 10 1885, Bohemia is one of these Soldiers.
He had a sister Maria Mandak who married William Balousek; he was also from Bohemia; they had a son named William Balousek, born 8 Dec 1911, died May 1979, Bay Shore, NY.
An obituary for him would be great and might provide names of survivors whom we could contact.
Our Soldier Mathias Mandak also had a brother named Joseph(josef) JEZEK/JESEK. He lived on Clinton Ave, Bay Shore.
Any info..births/deaths/obituaries on these people would be a great help. Thanks for anything,
patty
