Thanks Bill! Our Babcocks seem to go back to the original James. And Anna Parr did marry Benjamin Babcock (my husband's gr-gr-gr-grandfather). I'm not familar with Sarah Badcock and Moses Sylvester Parr. Sorting out the Babcocks (or Badcocks), the Sweets, the Parrs, the Smiths and all the rest of these early ancestors who seemed proned to marry within the same families is a great challenge. I have not seen documented evidence that Moses was born in So Kingstown, RI. He certainly lived there at age 37 when he married Mary (Molly) Sweet in 1777, but the tax and town records show no Parrs living there at all until 1755 if I've read them correctly. I find Moses there in '55, then he does not show up again until '61 (he was probably away fighting in the French and Indian War). He did leave a will and his wife applied for a revolutionary war widow's pension, so his later years are better documented. I am starting to research Moses Parr and the Kingstown Reds (his militia unit) Revolutionary war service records. Thanks again for your reply, I hope the Parrs can be sorted out. Regards, Sue
