Pat, thanks very much for your responses. I was aware of the known children of Jonas Wheeler & Rebecca Maynard and Jonas & Jane Coburn.
Jonas' will assigns Thomas Jefferson Wheeler a portion of his estate equal to the portions assigned to Jonas' known or proven children. However, the will does not state that Thomas Jefferson was a son, nor can we find any other documents that say Thomas J. was a son.
On the other hand, we can find other sources that state the names of 22 children that were said to be Jonas'. The book, "The Wheeler Family in America", names 22 children but not Thomas J. So, our road block is not finding proof that Thomas J. was Jonas' son.
We are searching all of Jonas' whereabouts and children, trying to get a lead. An obit of any of Jonas' children might give a lead. We have some histories and death certificates for a few. Trying to find a link of Thomas Jefferson Wheeler as a brother to some of Jonas' children.
