My gr-gr-grandparents were Charles Benson Oakley b 8/19/1843 Stony Point, NY d 1/6/1931 Peekskill, NY and Ella Dennison Oakley b 12/25/1848 E. Machias ME d 12/28/1931 Peekskill, NY. Ella lived in Cornwall at the time of her marriage on 1/6/1869 in Highland Falls, NY.
Ella was the daughter of Stephen Parker Dennison b 8/3/1824 Machias, ME d 9/15/1893 in the Hudson Valley and Keziah Turner Dennison b 2/10/1827 England d 11/9/1884 in the Hudson Valley, NY. They were married 3/15/1848 in Maine. Stephen was a whaler while in Maine, son of Joshua Dennison b c1795 probably Nova Scotia d after 1850 ME and wife Nancy Susannah Parker Emerson b 7/16/1801 Machias, ME, died after 1825 and before 1834, who were married 7/22/1819 in Machias, ME. Stephen came to the Hudson River Valley to fish for a living.
Stephen and Keziah Turner Dennison had children:

4. Sophia A. Dennison b 11/28/1854 d 9/21/1892 m 11/11/1873 James Wilson
5. Jesse Dennison b 2/10/1858 d 1/16/1860
6. Jessie M. Dennsion b 7/13/1862 m _____MacEnany
7. Charles H. Dennison b 7/17/1864 d 6/12/1892
All these original family records are from the Oakley Family Bible. Am looking for records on the family of Stephen Dennison, and any information would be appreciated. Karin Schoonmaker Fullam
