KEARSING - Joyce Rockland Co.
Posted by: John Kearsing (ID *****4159) Date: June 18, 2005 at 15:00:12

I am researching my KEARSING family. Lila Mae Joyce & Sidney Kearsing are my paternal grandparents.

I have little to no information on either one of the grandparents and I am looking for any information any one may have on these 2 family members.

The few un-helpful facts I have are:
Lila and Sidney had 3 children, Jr. Robert 6-21-22, Donald (killed in WWII), sister - Joyce Kearsing. At last knowledge, sister Joyce is only one that remains alive.

Lila was from Canton, New York. She was a teacher in Rockland County, New York, & was killed in a train crossing accident. She was reported to be a well loved teacher in the area.

Sidney fought in WW1 and was an acountant in their area of Rockland County. He is buried in the New Hempstead Cementary, Rockland County, New York.

If anyone has ANY information on any of these family members, please contact me. I am willing to share what limited knowledge I have. I am the son of Jr. Robert Kearsing. Thank you
