While Clarkstown is indeed a township, there may at one time also have been a Clarksville. There used to be (don't know whether it still stands) a very old inn called the Clarksville Inn on the southwest corner of present West Nyack Road (Old Route 59 aka Route 59A) and Strawtown Road. When I lived in West Nyack nearly fifty years ago the inn had recently been restored and at that time was probably 150 years old.
