I saw your posting about SAUNDERS and found the below in a Wills for Rensselaer County. It is in 1850 but may help you track backwards in your family search.

Poestenkill, Grafton, Berlin, Petersburgh, Sand Lake, Stephentown and Wyantskill all buff up against each other in one way or the other and their boundries may have changed over time. Hope this helps.
